I can't do that again. I have Harry to think about now. I finally have James back, and I don't want to lose him again because I've done something stupid. I'm not like some of the others; I can't argue just to argue when I don't believe what I'm arguing, and they can't help that they're werewolves just as much as I can't help that I'm muggleborn.

I've read this letter from Remus over and over again and it makes it even harder to believe that he would've betrayed James, or Moody, or any of us. This was the Remus we grew up with. He must have been Imperiused or something. Moody says he wasn't but it doesn't make sense otherwise.

Nothing makes much sense these days.

I'm going to try putting doses of the potion into different sorts of tools to see what would work best in a defensive situation, since I'm not sure how many werewolves would be willing to stop attacking the people they're attacking to drink up.

Sometimes I wonder what life would've been like had Hogwarts not had houses. The secondary school I would have attended at home I think sorted people alphabetically. I think that would have put me in a dorm with Astra, Angelica, Tabs still, and Anzhelina, unless I'm blanking on a name. I can only imagine the trouble that Mary, Dorcas, Marlene, and Riley's dorm would've gotten up to.

Although that makes me wonder if I would have grown up to be the same person. The way that we're raised has such an incredible effect on who we become in life. Our personalities are molded by the people we surround ourselves with, and I feel like it's impossible to determine the person we will grow up to be at the age of eleven, just as much as a person can't pick their last name or their bloodline. People are always so ready to let things that cannot be helped determine who their friends should be.
